I have nothing profound to say here other than I like making photographs that capture the essence of life… Ok, that sounded a little too profound. Let me start over…

I like making photographs. There, that’s better. I’ll talk to anyone. I love talking to strangers. Everyone has a pretty cool story to tell. I love those stories. The picture to the left is me on lobstering boat. Why? Because I thought it was cool and the captain invited me out for the day. Spent a whole day fishing off the coast of Maine and learned a ton. That was a cool day.

Check out the Documentary section… Was on a cross-country road trip over the summer and found ourselves in a small South Dakota town for the 4th of July. There was a rodeo, and there we were. Cliche to say that we found “Real America” but it was something you can’t read about. Talked to a lot of strangers that night.

I started out shooting a lot of live music. Love music & photography, so why not do both. I’ll travel anywhere for a good show. Hmmm, what else?

I’m based out of the Philadelphia area. I was raised moving all over the country, and this is the longest I’ve lived anywhere. Philly is great. It’s gritty. Hell, we even named a freaky, fever-dream mascot Gritty. This city isn’t for everyone. It’s ok. We get it.

Lastly, Film is NOT dead.

There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.
